USED c. 1915 George Washburn Model 1830 melody banjo

(sn 9368) Essentially a 4-string mandolin banjo,tuned GDAE, that was designed for single note melody playing. 11" spunover rim with tone ring, 14" scale. Recently mounted skin head, gloss refinish, repro No-Knot tailpiece, replaced hooks and nuts and bone nut. Fresh set up. Excellent condition. $249  

USED 1908 Fairbanks-Vega mandolin banjo ​(sn 24988) This very early example of this model made by Vega was made when Vega was still using the A.C. Fairbanks metal tag. 7.25" full spun rim, 13.25" scale, mahogany neck.  Original hardware, including tuners. Nice set up with calfskin head. Excellent condition. Includes 1920s hard case. $425

USED c. 1900 A.C. Fairbanks mandola banjo Very rare and original  15" scale, double strung banjo tuned in fifths, currently FCGD. (Not to be confused with the very common, shorter-scaled mandolin banjo.) This instrument may have been built by the Vega company shortly after purchasing Fairbanks.  


7 1/2" spunover rim, calfskin head and barrel nuts. There's a repaired spot in the neck close to the headstock on the bass side. Excellent fresh set up. Includes padded bag. $549

USED Fylde Portuguese mandola Approx. 18" scale.​ Ten strings tuned in four courses. CGDA, with an extra octave string added to the bottom two courses to give a rich, full sound when playing chords, but with pairs of strings on the top two courses for melody playing. Spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck. Near mint condition with nice set up. Includes deluxe, form-fitting hard case. $995
