USED 1928 C.F. Martin 2-18T tenor guitar s.n. 37018. 12” body width, 4” body
depth, 18 ¼” body length; Adirondacks spruce top; mahogany body; 12-fret mahogany neck; ebony
fingerboard w/ three dot inlays; bar frets; Grover Pat. ‘banjo’ tuners; C.F. Martin & Co. Nazareth
stamp on back of headstock. This guitar conforms to all the specs of an ‘18’ series Martin guitar from
the late 1920s.

Overall, the guitar is in very good cosmetic and structural condition, and appears to be all original with
the exception of the bridge pins and end pin. The guitar retains its original finish, and is very thin or
missing in several places. The top has one repaired crack, about 4” long, in the treble lower bout. The
bass side has a repaired crack along the waist area about 3½” long. The back has several cracks in
the lower bout, with the longest being 4”. The cracks appear glued and stable. The bridge appears to
have been removed at one time, and may be a replacement. The bridge plate is original and in
excellent condition, and all braces appear tight. A K&K Twin Spot pickup has been added, along
with an end pin jack. The first five frets show divots from string/playing wear. Action is a hair over
6/64” at the bass string, and 6/64” at the treble when measured at the 12th fret, top of fret to bottom
of string. The guitar plays well up and down the fingerboard, and produces a vibrant, woody tone,
with clear projection. Includes padded gig bag.
